Kamaz says cuts 2018 truck sale forecast by 5% to 38,000

MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest truck producer Kamaz has reduced its 2018 sales forecast by 5% to 38,000 trucks from 40,000, a representative of the company told PRIME on Tuesday.

“We reduced the forecast, the combined amount of sales will reach about 38,000 vehicles, of which slightly more than 4,000 will be exported,” the person said.

In May, Kamaz improved its sales forecast to 40,000 trucks from 37,000 trucks in 2018, but sales of heavy trucks in Russia fell on the year in July–September. Russia’s truck market may now remain flat on the year in 2018 instead of growing.
